This session will explore how schools can strengthen career pathways by adopting more flexible and scalable approaches to CTE instruction, especially in programs that require access to specialized software and tools.

Using CAPE Funds for Hands-on Learning in Digital Information Technology

If you have a DIT program and CAPE funds to spend on equipment and supplies, this workshop is perfect for you. Our DIT programs offer great group learning experiences with hands-on application of computer software. In addition to the ESBv2 Industry Certification, students gain valuable skills in creating entrepreneurial businesses using 3D printing, laser cutting and etching, DTF printing, poster printing, and sublimation printing. Many of our middle and high schools are even creating School Based Enterprises to make and sell products from this hands-on learning.

Planning Your Personal Financial Future

Expanding Industry Certification Automation

In addition to developing an automation process to enter Certiport results into our SMS (FOCUS), Pinellas County expanded the process to support additional vendors. By leveraging the uCertify platform, we now process thousands of digital tool entries from our district office. We've reduced human manual entry challenges and saved in work hours. As certifications increase from additional vendors, we're set to grow the process again.
