I am an experienced education professional with twenty years of experience in both K-12 and post-secondary education. Currently, I support Career and Technical Education IT teachers in Alachua County Schools as a program specialist. I provide guidance on course progression, curriculum choices, CAPE funding, IT needs, and student internship programs. I also manage all industry certification and digital tool testing for the district. I am also an Associate Professor with the University of Phoenix. I teach graduate and continuing education courses in K-12 Social Studies education and serve as a Faculty Supervisor for Student Field Placement in North Florida Public Schools."
Mary "MeMe" Hall - Secretary
With 32 years of dedicated service in public education, I am a highly experienced professional adept at fostering student success and supporting educator growth. I have spent 25 years as a classroom educator at both secondary and post-secondary levels before transitioning into curriculum leadership. Currently, as a Career and Technical Education (CTE) Curriculum Specialist in Clay County, I work on industry certification reporting to the Florida Department of Education, mentoring new teachers, and providing vital support and resources for CTE instructors. Beyond this role, I serve as an adjunct professor in the Business Department at St. Johns River State College (SJRState) and maintains a long-standing commitment to Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), having served as an advisor and currently as a District Director for many years.
Underlying all of my work is a core belief: Every student has something to offer. Teaching is about listening to your students and meeting them where they are and helping them get where they want to go.
Larissa Lizarraga - Treasurer
Larissa Lizarraga is a Career and Technical Education (CTE) Supervisor for Hillsborough County Public Schools, where she oversees programs in Business, Finance, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Hospitality and Tourism Management, and Work-Based Learning. She supports over 140 teachers across 70 schools, providing leadership in curriculum development, professional learning, program implementation, industry certifications, and internship opportunities. With 18 years of experience in education—including 13 years as a classroom teacher and 5 years in curriculum leadership—Larissa manages multiple district budgets and collaborates with industry partners and post-secondary institutions to expand access to real-world career experiences for students. A dedicated advocate for Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs), she served as a DECA advisor throughout her teaching career and now provides district-level support for both DECA and FBLA. Larissa holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from the University of South Florida, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix, and an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Educational Leadership from National Louis University.
